Evan is a creative problem solver who dives head first into the most challenging and diverse problems he can find. He recently finished a prestigious rotation program at Genentech where he excelled in a variety of roles such as drug development project manager, medical device engineer, and global supply chain material planner. Evan gained entrepreneurial experience starting his own design consultancy “Enacting Innovation” where he worked as a process innovation coach for firms such as Panasonic.

Evan’s passion is building simple innovative solutions that solve real human needs. He loves navigating the fuzzy front end of design and knows how to turn ideas into reality. For instance he built a novel storage solution that helps MINI Cooper drivers keep track of their things and developed a device that allows parents to run with a natural arm motion while propelling a baby jogging stroller.

Evan was an ESPN First Team Academic All-American in football at Johns Hopkins University where he played wide receiver. He holds a MS in Mechanical Engineering Design from Stanford and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins.

Brent Looney is a Bay Area native and two-time entrepreneur who grew up in the thick of Silicon Valley’s innovative culture.

In 2005, Brent co-founded Alter-G, a medical device company that harnessed NASA technology to develop an “anti-gravity treadmill” to dramatically improve physical rehabilitation for personal mobility applications. Through this initial endeavor, Brent developed a passion for building companies that have a measurable impact on the lives of its end users and customers. He left Alter-G in 2008 to pursue his graduate education in order to advance his entrepreneurial goals. The company continues to thrive in the medical, professional sports and fitness markets.

While attending Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, Brent met his Treatful Co-Founder, Hoon Kim, where the two quickly realized their shared interests. In an effort to develop a business that would help small businesses better compete in an increasingly online world; the two began a process of interviewing local business owners. As a results of these efforts, the duo launched Treatful in December of 2010. Today, Treatful serves the parallel goals of leveling the playing field for local businesses in the $90 Billion gift card market and simultaneously provides a better, more personalized gifting option today’s online consumer. In this effort, Brent focuses local business outreach and building lasting relationships with their local business partners.

Outside of the office, Brent is a self-described “Foodie” and takes a personal interest in frequenting the company’s many restaurant partners. He is an avid runner, cross fitter and amateur cook.

Andrew recently came from the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the US Department of Energy where he worked to identify scalable solutions to mitigating climate change and help build a foundation for a broader transformation of our energy system. He architected key components of the BetterBuildings Program, one of DOE’s signature initiatives, to test and identify models of energy efficiency deployment that can scale.

Before DOE, he was the Senior Energy Analyst for Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection where he helped push for federal climate and energy legislation, build a national climate movement, and helped Mr. Gore with research for his new book, “Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis,” which became a NY Times best seller.

He is passionate about the human-technology-environment interaction, and the interdisciplinary and interdependent nature of large complex problems. He received a Master’s degree from the Atmosphere / Energy Program at Stanford University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan.
