It’s been a year of monumental growth at Innovation Endeavors. Earlier this year, we announced Fund V, a $630 million fund that furthers our core strategy of investing in technical founders solving hard engineering and science problems to rethink large industries and solve problems that matter. In alignment with this strategy, we’re expanding our team of curious thinkers and thesis-driven doers.
We have a new CFO and Operating Partner, Rebecca Lucia, and a new investment team member, Tomás Álvarez Belón. After an amazing three years at Innovation Endeavors, we’ve promoted Josh Rapperport to Principal. Keep reading to learn more about our new team members and why we are so excited to have Josh grow with our team.

Rebecca has already seamlessly integrated into the team. We appreciate her infectious energy, fresh perspectives, and knowledge. Welcome, Rebecca!
Introducing Tomás Álvarez Belón
We are pleased to welcome Tomás Álvarez Belón to Innovation Endeavors. An investor on the team, Tomás is energized by founders building mission-critical companies that leverage breakthrough technology to make the world more resilient, sustainable, and equitable. As a result, he primarily invests in companies leveraging software, data, and robotics across the physical economy, climate, and dual-use domains.
Prior to Innovation Endeavors, Tomás invested in deep tech startups at Collaborative Fund. Born in Mexico to Spanish parents, Tomás grew up crisscrossing the world before landing at Georgetown University. He started his career at Bain & Company as a strategy consultant before earning a master's degree from Tsinghua University through the Schwarzman Scholars program. Tomás co-founded Canopi, a carbon accounting platform, and served as Chief of Staff at Sightline Climate.
At Innovation Endeavors, Tomás is focused on the physical economy and climate sectors. His thesis-driven approach has already made him an asset for our diligence process and an amazing support arm for our portfolio.
Join us in congratulating Josh’s promotion to Principal
We are excited to announce the promotion of Josh Rapperport to Principal. During his three years on the investment team, Josh focused on the physical economy and climate, across industries like energy, construction, manufacturing, supply chain, mining, and the built environment. Josh is on the board of Parpsec, an AI-based software platform for the construction supply chain. He is fascinated by the intersection of emerging technology and the real world.
Josh’s dedication to supporting portfolio companies through each stage of growth was quickly recognized. His depth of knowledge and work with founders has been outstanding and embodies the ‘one team one dream’ mentality. We look forward to Josh’s continued success, and the energy and incredible dance moves he brings to each Curiosity Camp.
Our firm continues its growth because of the exceptional individuals who make up our team — passionate people who wish to live in a permanent state of curiosity. This could not be more true with the addition of our new team members. We believe that their industry experience and expertise will open avenues for more experimentation, thought-provoking conversations, added support for our entrepreneurs, and additional connections across our network.
On behalf of all of us at Innovation Endeavors, welcome to the team, and thank you for your continued work!
